Banyan Tree Bangkok

We have been here a second time as we liked it so much during our last visit. Apart from the great comfort the hotel provides (eg its cleanliness or the great bathroom and comfy beds) we particularly enjoyed the Club Lounge access and the great roof top Bar. Furthermore, the pool deserves a special mention! A good sized pool and sunbed mattresses that deserve the name. Plus clean water, which does not sting in the eyes, when you swim without goggles. (That is unusual in Thailand.) Clearly, though, the best "feature" of the Banyan Tree Hotel is its staff. They do hit the perfect medium between being attentive without being intrusiv and kind & polite without exaggeration. We certainly also appreciated the extra recognition & attention my wife received as it was her birthday as well. Thank you!

This really is a minor thing - but the coffee at breakfast really tasted burned and the (nice) breakfast location on the 60th floor was a little crammed. As I said - just a minor issue. We will still be back!

Wann immer wir in Bangkok sind wohnen wir im Banyan Tree. Wir genießen das Ambiente des Hotels und der geräumigen Suite. Über den hervorragenden Service des Hotels hinaus lassen das Angebot und der Service der Club Lounge keine Wünsche offen. Das Saffron und die Rooftop Bar sind der krönende Abschluss eines jeden Tages.

Wirklich ein super Hotel. Zimmer sind top und auch die Ausssicht ist sehr schön. Der Pool Bereich hat uns gut gefallen, mit Blick auf die Skyline. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. Besonderes Highlight ist der Rooftop mit Restaurant und Bar, die Aussicht dort ist extrem beeindruckend, da muss man auf jeden Fall hin, wenn man in dem Hotel ist.

Everything was perfect

Everything. It ticked all the boxes. Lovely Hotel and staff were amazing.

Peu de choses à dire ici mis à part le prix du séjour assez attractif. Le personnel m'avait surclassé ce qui était très agréable au premier abord, on peut avoir une chambre à un étage très élevé (la tour est haute) MAIS...

L’hôtel n'est pas à la hauteur. J'ai eu la chance d'aller dans plusieurs Banyan Tree et celui-ci ne correspond pas aux mêmes standards de la chaîne, je trouve. L'arrivée n'est pas du tout magistrale, on a l'impression d'entrer par la porte de derrière. Il y a peu d'offres de restauration ou de bars la journée. Ok, il y a le vertigo le soir et le restaurant chinois que je n'ai pas essayé mais ils ont fermés l'après midi. La chambre, bien que supérieure, était vieillissante et les carreaux étaient sales, il y avait une odeur de renfermé dans le placard. Les couloirs sont sombres, la piscine est bien plus petite en réalité. Le quartier est inintéressant aux alentours, il faut prendre un taxi. Bref, je ne suis même pas resté tellement c'était décevant alors que j'apprécie Banyan Tree en général. Je suis resté à peine une heure dans l’hôtel et suis parti dans un autre hôtel 5 étoiles bien plus à la hauteur. Je compare un hôtel 5 étoiles avec les autres de la même catégorie, d'où la note aussi basse. Je ne laisse pas de commentaires en général, je note en y retournant si j'ai aimé. Mais comme j'ai payé une nuit sans y être resté, autant laisser mon avis aux prochains voyageurs. Banyan Tree aurait dû jouer le jeu en me remboursant mon séjour en totalité. J'ai eu un remboursement partiel. Je fais rarement des changements de dernière minute
